Gregory Taylor who was convicted to trying to steal food in Los Angeles church Kitchen and was accused of two previous robberies has been released after 13 years of Jail. It was an example of harsh sentences given under California’s 3 strikes law.
In a conference held at Birmingham, an old-aged man flung off both of his boots at Pakistan’s current President Asif Ali Zardari. Here is the interview of the man who did this daring act. The name of the person is Shameem Khan and he tells that he has performed this act as a protest against the President Zardari’s meeting with David Cameron. He also seemed discontent with the policies of current Pakistani Government.
A 20 year old Christian who also happened to be the manager of mobile shop in Florida, preached a would be robber about Jesus that prevented him to be a robber. The robber entered the Metro PCS store around 10a.m. After greeting Goncalves, the shopkeeper, he reached into his coat, showed her a gun and said, “I really hate to do this, don’t be scared”. Goncalves calmly replied, “I’m not scared”, although she was alone. She further told the man that she was a Christian. The incident was shot by the Shop’s closed circuit camera. Nayara Goncalves was working alone in the shop. When this person tried to rob her, it took her nearly 5 minutes to preach and convince him that whatever he was doing and what so ever was his intention, it was wrong anyways. The would be robber immediately apologized and revealed that his gun was not real and then left the shop in Broward County.
This is what the foreigners think about Pakistan. The international media has always been exaggerating the image of Pakistan. But those who have visited Pakistan their selves keep entirely different views.
The morning today, 7/28/2010, brought great loss to many people in Pakistan, as an airbus of AirBlue crashed into the margalla hills. None of the 152 passengers on board could survive.
