No more military operation

While the US Defense Secretary Robert Gates was meeting with our Government Top Officials and persuading them to launch Military operation in North Waziristan , Major General Athar Abbas of ISPR makes the statement that Pakistan Military will not launch any kind of new operation anywhere in Pakistan for at least one year.

Pakistan Military is currently fighting against Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Swat Valley and South Waziristan. Military has done an outstanding job in those areas and almost all the important peaks and areas are now under control of Pak Army. The infrastructure in those areas is totally destroyed and needs rehabilitation. The building of roads, hospitals, schools etc will take several months to years. Read more…
